so i got my engine back together and i realized that i was missing this, i was wondering what is it, will my truck run ok without it or can i bypass it, and how much would expect to pay a junkyard for one?
note:this is not my engine bay, thanks to 4crawler for the pic

so my instructor said it would be ok to bypass it so we did and i started it up and it runs ok, but needs a bit more tuning and stuff. right now its running straight off my new lce headers with the o2 sensor just hanging in my engine bay. but i noticed that while its idling, at about 1200 rpm it will drop down to ~800 then come right back up periodically. is this just because the idle is set too high or is there some other reason?

I cant say what exactly what it is, but I do know that 22re efi's are real temperentle. So I would save yourself the headache and go get one. It cant be much at a junkyard, probably $10 at the most. It will most likely take care of your idle issue.
