Unhappy intermitaqnt fuel leak - 95 t-100

Having an intermitant fuel leak on my '95 t-100... had been smelling gas, and took the tank down to see where the leak is; being pretty broke i couldn't relace all the fuel lines from the tank up; finally got them all fixed, and now have an intermitant fuel leak.. is it possible i might have mixed up the 1/4 inch lines, and now it may be building pressure sometimes? i can drive it a couple times with no leak, then all of a sudden the gas just gushes out after i shut it off; doesn't do it every time, really driving me crazy; anyone got any experience with this, or any ideas? thanks for any suggestions anyone might have...

In the moving of the tank is it possible you may have broken one of the lines on the fuel pump bracket??

I had this happen and it would push gas out when stopped.

What happens if you release the pressure by removing the fuel cap when stopping for awhile?

1/4 inch? Wasn't this truck made in Japan (where, like everywhere else motor vehicles are built, the metric system is used)?

I recognize that some parts stores just throw their hands in the air, and when someone asks for "1/4 inch fuel line" just hand them 6mm. But you might want to be sure you've got the right parts.

some parts of the system were rebuilt by i don't know who; i've only owned it for about 4 monthes, and i dont know how many owners it's gone thru; it came to me with 324,000 miles on it; what was already on there was 1/4 inch high pressure rubber fuel line on the 2 smaller lines, and 5/16 high pressure rubber line and the bigger one; and i'm still puzzled why it has 3 fuel lines on it in the first place; this is my first "foreign" truck ever, used to be a dyed in the wool Ford freak; but this Toyota is quickly changing my mind. anywho, what's on it is what's on it; as long as it gets me down the road i'm happy. as to whether it was made in Japan, i have no clue when Toyota started making trucks here in the states..

Wyoming9, good thought; so many of the lines were just rotted out and would break with the slightest bump or movement; a friend gave me a tube of "seal-all" and suggested i put several coats on anyplace where it looked at all questionable; so far anytime i've looked up under it (other than when it's spewing gas after being shut off) i can't even see a wet spot at all. the first couple days after gettiing everything sealed i lost my headlight, and so didn't have a way to see anything on top of the tank, and it hasn't done it since. i will check it out and remove the cap next time it leaks... thanks for the reply.. about ready to tear my hair out over this one..
