intake popping help
hi everyone!
i have a 94 4runner 3.0 trying to find out whats giving me sudden popping sound from the engine/intake. about a yr ago i put in a complete rebuilt engine and most of the parts under the hood are pretty much brand new still. it starts up fine and sits good at idle even when i bring up the rpms. my timing is set at 10* when jumpered. the first thing i changed when all the hesitation and popping occurred was the vafm. i swapped out the vafm with a friends one and my runner ran fine for about a week then the same problem occurred. i next swapped out the tps and adjusted it to specs and still I'm stuck. I'm thinking there might me a bad wire somewhere from the vafm to the ecu. does anyone have a writeup somewhere on how to test the vafm wires to the ecu? I've only seen the writeup on how to test the vafm itself. any help would do.
