Intake mod ideas?

What would or did you do to mod you intake for improvment.
YES i did see UKMeyers mod and i refuse to open the bottom for dirt/water to enter.
And yes i did see the "remove the headlight" mod posted a few months ago.
I have the 3VZ-E.
My idea is to move the intake up to where i just removed the Cruise Control and aim the intake out into the fender where the Snorkel will be in the hopefully-not-to-far-future. And i also am thinking of removing the intake silencer to make more room for the 2nd battery. So i need alot of part sizes, parts, intake parts. How do the sensors fit if i get non proper intake tubes?

This is what I'm thinking - also trying to accomodate the dual batteries (underhood) + snorkel +

Basically a simple matter of extending the VAFM wires and a little bit of plumbing...

Too True! But when the road floods and the water is scary close to my intake i have very little choice. And with a snorkel and 2nd battery in the future i have to consider moving it. Other wise i might kill the 1st battery with the winch.

Yea, i think i am just going to remove the intake silencer and move the intake up. buti have to find something nice and easy to put sensors in. And i wonder if since i am making it shorter distance from the intake box to the engine if that will improve anything?
