Intake manifold removal

I have a 1994 toyota pickup 4x4 22re automatic and I have pulled the long block out of the truck already. I was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to pull the intake out leaving all the electrical hooked up so I can bolt the intake manifold on while the motor is on the motor stand

I dont think you can. I mean if you took the whole harness off the truck maybe. The harness comes up between the plenum and lower intake.

I just did mine a month ago... and wondered why no one has had the balls to suggest

CUT THE DANG 'WEB' OUT OF THE MANIFOLD.. you wouldn't even need to make it wider than the wire bundle.

It serves no purpose NOW, It was there for the casting, and machining of the piece. It was needed to keep everything 'tied' together. Now, when the plenum is bolted up, everything is tied back together for structural strength.

I thought of doing it, just as I was finishing up mine! There's always Next time!
