Intake Manifold Gasket Bad Coolant Leak? PIC
Almost a week ago, my 22RE in my '90 4Runner sprung a bad coolant leak. Since then, I have been topping up my coolant each time I drive it. I have gone through almost 2 jugs of coolant since then. Anyways, it looks like it is leaking from the manifold gasket right below the thermostat housing. It's not leaking from the top or the rear/sides of the engine as far as I can tell. Do you think it just needs a new gasket? Could any other issues have caused this? I am planning to take the intake off(never done this before) as it needs a good cleaning anyways. Just wondering what I may be getting into. I was also curious about the part I circled in the pic. Is there supposed to be a bolt there?

So no white smoke coming out of the exhaust? Just trying to rulle out a headgasket. I think the intake manifold gasket is a good guess, there is a major passage right about where that drip is.
