Installed Load warrior rack 93 4runner
Bought a load warrior rack, but it did not come with the mounts.PLus sitting high on the stock roof rack did not look all that great.I dismattled the stock rack and mounted the two main cross bars thru the rack. Then used some standard harware to mount.

Pretty sweet install! I like the low-profile look, but doesn't it scratch the hell out of the factory load bars?
Now you have to start "modding" the rack, here is what I did with mine:

are those little straps with the hook on the top of the rack bolt the only thing holding it on, i ask because it seems if it was loaded up it could pull off. but it looks great

The stock Crossbar in which it would clamp to holds down the rack.It would be putting downward pressure on the crossbar. It does not lay on the factory small crossbars. Its a inch or so above it.As for the clamps that help hod it down, I've already got some heaver peices I'm going to use. I'll update the pics this weekend.

Nice 4Runner and love the rack! Sorry to jack your thread but I was wondering about your 3rd gen rims. I really like the look of these rims on our 2nd gen 4Runners and was thinking about picking up a set. Did you have to run spacers to get them to sit right? Do you have any front pictures? I am curious to see what the offset looks like.
Thanks!

Nice man! Looks great. No issues with rubbing? Sorry I meant pictures from the front of your truck. I am curious to see what the offset looks like from the edge of your fender.

31x15x10.5 The truck sat at body shop for three months. They fiberglassed all the rust areas, from the inside out. Then we pulled all the trim and painted. New custom built engine 17,000 miles ago.All rebuilt drive train.New rear coils, hubs, axels, radiator , its all new. It goes to the beach for two weeks out of the year, and driven on sundays. Its a keeper.
