Infamous 3VZE J-Tube leak again... Few questions
Below is a picture of the J-Tube and the hole 3VZE cooling system, I did not actually spring a leak in the rubber tube this time but instead in the metal hard line it self. The pinhole leak is DIRECTLY above where the bracket tab is I circled below. Does anyone know what the purpose of this line is? I Am going to have to cut the hard line back and run a custom soft line on it, but has anyone bypassed this hose and just capped it off?

Yeah, it needs to be there or you'll have NO coolant flow through that block with all the coolant temp sensors/switches connected to it. You will SERIOUSLY screw with the EFI if you just block it off. The computer needs those sensors and switches to function as designed in order to perform numerous tasks which keep the engine running properly.
Just fix it whichever way you can. If you have a brazing torch that'd be what I'd do. But you could arc weld, solder, or JB weld it, just as well. Or like you're saying you could cut it short, and run a longer hose to/from it.

Yeah cutting and running a longer hose to it is most likely what I will end up doing, if is already has a pin hole leak I don't want to risk blowing holes through it welding it... that thought has already crossed my mind haha. I figured with all the sensors there it would be a bad idea to bypass I just wanted to make sure

Here is what I plan on doing, removing the upper plenum which is real easy on my truck since it only has 5-6 vacuum lines(a lot is deleted on it) and valve cover gaskets while I'm under there, prob 1-2 hr job
