Hey buddy, just saw you replied to me. Hmm... This problem is very interesting... My thoughts are changing bit by bit while my brain goes into overdrive. Scratch that, 4lolo. hahaha. Anyway, I know you checked these parts of the ignition system, but it's worth double checking that all your plugs fire consistently and that your plug wires are carrying charge. My next idea is that this is actually a mechanical issue. I'm thinking camshaft... Maybe valve springs... Do a valve adjustment and see what comes up. But the fuel smell tells me that something isn't igniting. Confusing... Goes back to the plug wires and plugs... Which leads us into a circle. WOO

Now I've reread the entire thread. I'm kind of thinking your current issue is a plug wire. My second thought is your O2 sensor. Thought number three is a mechanical issue. Is that truck a SOHC or DOHC?

Final thing. Let us know where you are located. Maybe someone will see that they're close and come on over. A fresh set of eyes on an issue is always great. If you're in middle Georgia, I'll come on over to help! hahaha!

I am 95% sure it is the ignitor. I'll need a replacement to be sure though, and that wont be until mid week

3x in a row it started after I heated the ignitor with a heat gun, New ignitor is installed (of course its started all week so I cant verify the repair yet) and the misfire below 2000rpm is gone.
Only time will tell at this point, but rain is due next week so I should know for sure then
