Ignition coil help???

I have been having power problems on my 93' 4 cyl. 4wd 22re. Truck runs fine, never stalls, skips, etc. Just SERIOUS lag !! I have tried quite a few things, but read into the Haynes manual pretty heavy today. Checked my ignition coil resistance this evening. Primary readin was 1 ohm. My multimeter only reads in k ohms. So figured this was ok. Then I checked secondary.... read OL(nothin) from positive terminal of primary to inside of that plug that actually runs to the distributer cap( can't remember the actual technical term). So my questions??? Does this sound to be my problem?? Motor was not on or ignition on. I know the haynes said it should have had a 9-15 k reading. Thanks for all help fellas. Just wanna narrow this down.

Serious lag?? as compared to what??

It runs fine but has serious lag??

Are you comparing this to a 500 horsepower muscle car. This is at best a 120 horsepower engine.

If you are reading your meter correct it should mean it should not run at all

Is this a auto or manual maybe your having transmission or clutch problems ??

I have had (3) 4 cylinder Toyotas. Theres a problem other than it's a small motor with not much hp. I'm asking for help from pros on here who know more about it than me, not for smart ass remarks wasting my time. And lag I'm talking about if I start off in first and just floor up it pretty much just bogs it's way up to speed. I literally cannot pass someone unless I'm comin up on a good downhill and can get a running start.

O, and it's a manual transmission with absolutely no clutch or tranny problems. Just major acceleration issue.

Does it idle fine? when its stopped and you rev it does it lag? or sound normal? what have you ruled out or tried replacing? How long has the hesitation been happening?

I am sorry if you feel i was a smart ass it was not meant that way. i hear all the time my 4 cylinder does not run like my Chevy 350

If you had posted you have a serious lag compared to the other 22R series motors you had driven.

So just what have you done ?

Have you checked fuel pressure??

Are you getting the timing advance like you should??
