IFS stock skidplate

you guys with 1st gen ifs runner are you able to still use the stock skid plate with a 4inch lift? Just got one for 5bucks from the junk yard since mine is missing. But after looking at it for 10 minutes I cant figure out how to put it up without having gap. I like how the stock skid plate looks. Just asking if anyone has they're stock skidplate and a lift?

Unless you make drop brackets its not going to bolt on anymore.

You could use a 4" c-channel to drop the front down.

Im just gonna throw my $.02 in, the stock plate is kinda worthless IMHO. I bent mine on a tree branch at 5 MPH. if your doing a lift i would suggest buying or fabbing a new, much beefier one.

I couldn't find one after I put my lift on, and after talking to the experts here, I went the fab route. came out way cheaper, and got just what I wanted..just for what its worth

stock skid is garbage. i only run one because it's better than nothing. on my last truck i bent it by looking at it wrong, haha. your only option is to either get an aftermarket one, have one made for you, or modify bracketry to compensate for the lift. IIRC, there was a thread on this last month and the person contacted BudBuilt, who told him he no longer makes the skid for bracket lifts despite what the website says.

I mocked mine up, 3/16", had it cut and bent and all under $80! But.. I did start by calling budbuilt.
