IFS steering gearbox leaking

Just finished my high steer/IFS steering box install.

The gearbox is leaking, but not at the input shaft.

Leaking out the little ball pointed to in the pictures, kind of looks like a check valve or relief valve?

Any ideas on what exactly it is, and if there is a fix besides replacing the gearbox? (Cheaper to get another used one, then re-seal this one, also wanting to get out wheeling this weekend).
