IFS differences??
the front spindles my friends 94 4x4 (w/ ifs) are toast, well the brass bushings are wallowed out. we are going to swap out them for others.
My ? is-- is there any differences between the years, that is 86-95? i am thinking that they are the same but figured i might see if anyone could shed any more light on the subject. thanks.

There WAS a difference If I recall. Correct me if I'm wrong, but right at the end there, I think they switched to needle bearings instead of the bronze bushings.
I remember because I needed new bushings for my SAS axle. I looked into the bearing conversion, but it was for IFS only. (smaller stub shafts on the IFS.
Not a REAL difference, I'm sure you could run either and be perfectly happy.

Needles are an upgrade, they may have come from the factory at some point but you can get the kit at the dealer and put them in any IFS truck. I did it to my 88 a few years ago. Not cheap though, $250 a side or something like that. Stealership part though.
