ifs diff compatibility
So I have a guy selling a complete ifs diff out of a 1987 4runner with 22re Manuel hubs and i need to know if it will work in my 1993 pickup 3vze with autolocking hubs. I want to retain my auto locking hubs.
Before you say search I have searched about as much as I can on my phone...no computer...
Please help. Thanks

Yea you should be fine. They are the 7.5" differentials. I picked up a IFS w/short tube from a 1988 4Runner w 3.0 for my 1994 4Runner to get rid of vacuum-assisted IFS from the 94 which has a weaker axle on that short side. Gonna regear also. Then I can get rid of the vacuum cans and lines.
But why not use the manual hubs? That's what I did to my 94. Yea ya gotta get your butt outta the truck to unlock/lock them, but less wear and better mpg. Just my $0.02.
