Idle surge!

Idle surge!
I have a 89 toyota pickup, it has the 3.0
V6 in it and for a while now my idle has been surging especially when i brake. I thought maybe it was a vacuum leak because of the surge from the braking but I'm not sure. The idle sits at 1500 rpms an easily moves over 2000 rpms while driving. One of my buddies has the same motor and year truck and had some type of idle surging and he said that the problem was his "throttle control sensor". They don't give those away and i want to make sure thats actually the issue before getting one! If anyone has some clue to what the actual problem is please let me know! Thanks, Neil!

Throttle position sensor is the actual part, it can be adjusted with feeler gauges and a voltmeter http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...93throttle.pdf yours has probably rotated out of spec, very common problem.
