I've got carb issues to sort out with the '85. It's got a Weber and it bogs if I go much past half throttle. It's safely tucked away until spring!

I wonder about the 1.11 response time- clutch slippage maybe?

You clocked 12.8 in an 1/8 and 19.4 in 1/4. In perspective- it took almost 13 seconds to get through the first 1/8 mile, and only 5-6 seconds to cover the remaining 1/8 mile.

It was my first (and only) time using it. You have to tap the screen and then it went "Beep, beep Go!" and I wasn't really ready. Just figuring it out, ya know?

The Charger SRT8 only does barely sub-13 second 1/4's. ... just saying.

It's all in fun. My SRT8 was an awesome vehicle, loved everything about driving it. If you've never been in one, you'll be genuinely suprised at how it performs. It went 13.1 bone stock and 12.89 with an intake and a tune (picked up almost 38hp). It was a BEAST. There isn't much on the road that keeps up from a dead dig with 450 (crank) HP + AWD + 285 rubber when you mash the go pedal. Sure, the faster cars would come by me on the big end, but 0-60ish it was almost untouchable.

I also did the SRT8 Experience (Youtube/Google it, if you're unfamiliar with it) and the instructors there were happy to tell the other SRT8 owners (Charger/Challenger) that they would leave with their tails tucked if they decided to take a shot at the Jeep.

I've owned all kinds of vehicles, from lifted Jeeps/Yotas, to LT1 Camaros, to foxbody Mustangs to turbo imports... and the Jeep was a very impressive vehicle.

Tells ya somebody offered me more for the SRT8 than I paid for it and I couldn't refuse

But I've always loved old Toyotas. I'm on my 4th and 5th now. I suppose if somebody GAVE me a new Toyota truck/SUV... I'd take it. But there's just something about the 1st-3rd gens that I love.

I have a 2011 Dodge in the driveway that pretty much just sits and I daily drive my 4Runner everywhere and love it.

And, well you already know. It's great to go fast... great to go fast
around corners.... LOL. It's also great to go know your 'yota can go
many places they can't and everywhere they can go, even if it takes
longer to get there....
