I swear im not a ricer!

Hides

In my defence, they look badass at night, and didnt cost me a cent. My buddy gave me the leds in return for wiring his lights for him. I used leftover wiring I had at home and a spare blue switch that I tucked under the dash.

It's all good, Jay. Try to keep the mud off of those interior lights when your feet get all muddy!

Thanks!
Yeah, I am a little worried about the drivers side. There really is no room with the vents there... I got them pretty tucked up but time will tell I guess... I was able to tuck the passenger side up behind the glove box, fit really nice!

I smell some rice cooking.

lol. I actully think I may do some red ones for my interior. My color scheme is red and black, so the red light will look better than the black ;-)

How did you wire them? Did you just wire them into the fuse box? Or are they going straight to the battery?

Nice! I went with the blue theme because my truck is blue, interior is blue, all dash lights are blue (like everybulb you could amagin) and my deck is blue..

I like blue, can't you tell?

I wired them directly to the battery with an inline fuse. I tested them and together they pull bearly 2amps.. So I figured they should be fine without a relay. The wires that the lights where attached too where tiny! Everytime I cut the insulation off one the other side fell off. I think they where 24 gauge or smaller...

That would be pretty neat. I was tinkering with the idea of running them off the door lights. So when you opened the door they came on. But I wanted to be able to drive with them on whenever I wanted. so instead of making a complicated system to do all that, I just put em on a switch...

Could you post a pic of what the lights actually look like i was looking into doing the same thing except do a white light and those light up the floor boards very nicely
i plan on wiring it up so i can have a on/off/door switch so they can come on as i open and close the door
and ill evetually set up my rock lights like that too so you can see where you are steping at night

Door lights or dome light would be a good idea, but I would just do mine with a switch directly to the battery. A switch would then allow you to turn them off it they're annoying a passenger, and they switch would also make another added switch to an instrument panel :-) I know people here like adding switches and buttons.

Isn't Jay351 a brand of white rice? I think I've seen it in 50lb bags at the local Korean market.

I actually do like the way it looks. I can see myself doing something like that on the runner just so I have an added light source when I open the door. That and it would look wicked kewl with blue lights on the inside with the tube doors on.
