i have some questions on swapping 85re for a 92re

i am not too sure which thread this would go in because it involves a 92 and an 85 so if this is in the wrong place based on content i apologize

i am pulling a 22re out of a 92 2wd 5spd pickup and putting it into an 85 4wd 5pd runner.

the 92 motor runs fantastically great and i do not feel as though a full rebuild is necessary. the 92 has 117k on the od. the 85 has 250k has a rear main leak, head gasket leak, valve cover leak, and a variety of other problems and the guy i bought it from said that everything has been leaking for about a decade now
i plan on changing on the 92 motor:
timing chain
injectors
head gasket
valve cover gasket
intake gasket
water pump

from the people that have pulled motors and not rebuilt them completely was there anything that im not already planning on replacing that you wished you would have done when the motor was out? like egr, slave cylinder, starter or rear main

and on that note (and i will ask in the 84-85 thread too) what is the difference between the 85 re and the 92 re?
the 2wd tranny is staying with the 92 pickup and i plan on using the 85 4wd tranny thats on the runner now. will this bolt right up?
will i need new motor mounts?
do i need to get a 92 ecu and harness or will the 85 stuff work?
do i need a 92 or 85 o2 sensor?
do i need a 92 or 85 battery?
will it be an issue going from ifs to sa?
will the 85 exhaust bolt right up to the 92 manifold?
will i need any thing surprising for this exchange or is it pretty straight foward?
any specialty tools? bearing puller etc...

i am sorry for retarded questions but i would like to have everything ready before hand so i can get this swap done in 2 days tops.
any tips, advice, recommendations (like...tricks for marking what and where things get unplugged and re-plugged back into) or flat honesty is greatly appreciated.
i have never pulled a motor before but my buddies have (just not on yotas) but they have all the jacks and stands necessary for this. if anybody needs additional info on these yotas please dont hesitate to ask.

and lastly would it be worth it to rebuild the 85 re (do the 85 and 92 re's have the same hp?) and put it back in to keep originality or based on the fact that its hosed and has been for a decade should i just recycle it

You will need to use the 85 injectors , as far as sensors you can go to autozone.com and compare the part numbers of the two motors.

The easiest way to do this swap into an 85 truck is run the replacement engine as an 85. Strip the 92 down to bare bones just the block and head. The exhaust manifold might be ok, but you're definitely going to have to swap the intake (at least the top half) as it is shaped differently and the vacuum ports and switches are made to work with the 85. Use the 85 afm, throttle body, sensors, injectors, wiring harness and ECU.
I'm not saying some of the 92 sensors won't work on an 85 EFI system, but the goal is to get it swapped and running right as fast as possible. You try mixing components between an 85 and a 92 and if it runs like crap...where do you start to troubleshoot?
Check the drive belt system on both engines, make sure the alternators mount the same and take the same wiring connector, if they don't the 92 drive system on the front of the engine will have to be changed to the 85.
As far as clutch flywheel, etc compare the two, the worse that can happen is you will have to move the 85 components over to the 92.
