I have a project for the weekend!
I'm tired of my flipp'n exhaust leak...
I just went on Summit and order a header and full cat-back kit...
I went cheap though, don't flame me for it... Pacesetter header and cat-back kit...
I know, I know, you get what you pay for...
I'm not looking for any performance gains, hell I don't even care if it's shiny, I'm just tired of the AGRIVATING NOISE WHILE ACCELERATING AND CRUISING...
2nd day air, so it'll be here Fri and I can bolt it all up Sat

I have one broke off in the head now getting that SOB out is going to take longer than installing everything, lol
I think I might replace all the bolts and nuts too while I'm at it...
any tips on getting that broke stud out? IIRC, it's broken pretty much flush with the head... or is drilling and an easy-out my only option...

Stick a nut on it and start welding.
Small bursts so as to not melt anything, but enough to get penetration.
If it's totally flush, first put a washer down and weld the nut to it after the washer has been welded to the stud.
Otherwise, good luck

here's his 2 beasts in progress as of last weekend:
He thinks he can flex, but it's just a mud whore
I told him to give me one of those trucks, and I'd show him what a REAL Toyota is capable of, but all he wants to do is play in the mud maybe I should just get him into YT and he can see for himself!

there's a good idea; I can borrow my buddy's welder; he'll probably be come'n over to help N E way; he's as much as a Toy-nut as I am

thanks for the feed back on it too!
I get mixed answers about these headers... some say their crap, but have no apparent history of using them (maybe they go by the cheaper price theory, I dunno), but on the flip side I hear nothing but good from the people who've installed it
I hoping for good results!
oh and did my first post get edited by a mod and turned into a link for the picture? cause it use to diplay the image in the thread... maybe it was too big?

well, I havnt personally run pacesetter parts. But on more then one occasion I have seen the aftermath of a year or two of weather/use on their parts. Usually rust out pretty quick. I hope they work well for you though!
I would just drill out the stud and heli-coil it or something.... Not gonna be fun though, did that on the y pipe flange on my girlfriends truck..

BTW, it broke off in the process of installing a new OEM exhaust manifold... a year ago... yeah, that was a waste of $100...

well I picked up all new mounting bolts today to bolt the header to the head, got some Blaster so I'm gunna drench it tomorrow afternoon when I get home after it cools down. And everything might just be waiting at my doorstep when I get home from work tomorrow; that would make my day Depending on what kinda mood I'm in, I might get started tearing things apart tomorrow, not before I get some "before the install" pics though... and video with sound just to prove how horrible this thing sounds right now...
