PLPD insurance here (basic coverage), the most I can get is $400 from her insurance, which i was told she had some. havn't maid the claim yet though. Yeah fun michigan laws. LOL! they ended up taking her away in cuffs to jail, warrants through friend of the court, guess she owed money on child support.
the 400 should cover most of my sheetmetal and suspension parts, and still have a half gallon of paint left from painting last summer. A few weeks i'll have her back up and going again.
some of the sterring linkage is bent, the sterring arm on the drivers side knuckle and the main sterring beam. and the tierod.
the front radiator support isn't bent to bad, but the fender support is squashed pretty good. not sure if i'm gonna try and straighten it or just cut it out and weld a new one in from junkyard. gonna go check the local import yard out on monday.

would love to do a SAS, but don't doo to much off rodading in this one anymore. Have another toy for that. this one is mostly a daily driver/summer fun top off on the road fun thing. LOL!

"Public Liability and Property Damage" basically an outdated term used by us michiganders for basic nofault insurance. it's liability coverage the basic minum michigan requires.

Lol to send that to a body shop is an easy $3000 if not more worth of damage. When someone took out my fender and nothing else it was quoted $1300 from 3 different places.

before you dive a lot $ into I would really reccomend double checking that frame.

My truck was backed into and the frame go bent. Other front wheel tho. This was previous owner information but going by what I KNOW and what I can see on the truck as to what body damage was fixed it wasnt an extreme hit just a lot of pressure on the tire.

LOL! nope no soccor mom! more like a 45 year hoochie mamma in her skin tight sweat shorts with the writting on the butt and the skin tight half shirt.
and the face of a three pack a day smoker! she was driving a saturn, I nailed it right in the pillar between the front and back doors on the driver side. the police took her away to jail for warrants!

the only body shop work that will probably be done is an estimate just for insurance claim purpose from the ladies insurance company. the repairs will be at home garage fix. always has been! LOL!

yeah the frame will be the first thing I check tomorrow. I've had to work every day since the wreck so havn't checked it out. will be making some measurments first thing in the am. Then going out to the parts shed I think I have a whole nother steering linckage and knuckles out of another truck from like 5 years ago.

i'll check the frame first then repair the steering components. I at least can then move it around the yard. LOL!

hope everyone has a good weekend.

Rick

frames can be straightened.
my p/u was smashed into a pole , hit the front a arm to which there wasnt even a scratch on but it bent the frame pretty good, took it to the local body shop and they straightened it out pretty good.

they almost couldnt do it because toyota fames are so tough.
