How to reach small coolant hoses
Peering around the engine bay this week I found the small coolant hoses that go to the idle air control valve under the lower intake plenum are looking a little funky and need to be replaced. They are 22230S and 22210C in this image:
I'm also thinking about 16261 on this image:
What are your preferred methods for getting to these pesky hoses? I'm thinking to remove the upper plenum, throttle body, oil filter, starter... still not sure if that'll get me there.

Don't forget to drain your coolant. It's been a while since I have done this but I don't remember taking all that stuff apart. It is a pain in the ass no matter what.
Make sure you bleed all the air out of it or your idle will be all over the place. Adding your coolant S L O W L E Y is the key to no trapped air. I never have to "burp" my cooling system doing this.
