how to quiet my intake after location swap

SO, I have a 91 yota, 22re blah blah blah....long story short...I swapped my locations of my intake and battery and now my k&n intake is LOUD AS HELL even at idle , does anyone know how to quiet or muffle the damn thing? Haha I'm assuming its from the short piping now. Thanksss!

build a box for the filter and pipe the intake for it into the fender.
