Look in your book.

Sure you can add fluid from the shifter,
Try to get that darn fill plug off though. I always fill it until the fluid runs out the fill plug.
Maybe try some pb blaster, it might help.

You may just need to get some good vice grips on it and go from there.

If that doesn't work you can try other "extreme" methods.

yea all extreme measures have be taken i used vice grip, impact, weld a socket to it but i suck at welding so, screw driver and hammer, everything now the bolt head is totally screwed so ill just leave it alone before i do more damage but good news i got the drain plug off and it took a impact with 250 psi to loosen it about 4 hits then off it came, if i only could meet the bastard that put it on.........

I've had pretty good luck using a chisel and dead blow hammer to get tight plugs to come off. Not sure how helpful that is since it seems like you've already tried something similar. Good luck with getting that thing off, if you're still trying anyways.

Its in your owners manual and I found it in two seconds with a google search. Didn't anyone ever teach you that you ALWAYS take your fill plug out BEFORE you drain anything in case you can't get it out. How you planning on filling it back up with no fill plug anyways? Gonna tear your shifter apart and pour it in through the top?

Sorry to sound harsh it's just that we see far too many threads started everyday asking for information that is super simple to find. Get you a 6pt socket and a 1/2" drive breaker bar and you should be able to get that bolt loose. My manual does not give anything in pints. It should be 3.2 US quarts. Save this link to your favorites. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/ It's the entire factory service manual to a 93 Runner. The info for the drivetrain is the same for Runners and trucks for the most part.

Never say you can't get a bolt out. Just say your not smart enough, or dont have the right tools. Take the plug out and fill it up until it runs out.

I could've sworn I posted last night saying the R150F was 6.4 pints, but the thread is gone. And 6.4 pints is 3.2 quarts (2 pints = 1 quart).
Yup I did post. The thread URL is https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-answer-183371 but it's invalid / missing now.

Oh. okay. When I looked at the thread earlier they weren't. ... Right after he posted https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116.../#post51152452 I went to look for the other thread and it was gone. Guess it took a while for the system to merge the threads. Then I come back to it now and didn't notice it was twice as long as before.
My apologies.
