About 4weeks ago I picked up a 95 4runner for my daughter, it too made a noise like you describe. So I did some searching!!! and found the answer. Speedo cable needs to be lubed.

if the sqeek is going along with your speed it's most likely the speedo cable, take apart the guage cluster and lube it, it will go away after the lube works in.

I had the exact same thing you described, except mine was in third gear between about 30 - 35mph. Horrible squeak! Sounded like it was coming from the front end, towards the front of the transmission (so not as far forward as yours) and it turned out to be a u-joint.

alright. i will rip apart the gauage cluter. any pics of what i need to lube. that would make scence to me. its not a belt for shure. fuled that out. it is not affected by throttel. just speed. its a pretty loud cherp that seriously sounds like a bird. haha. what lube should i use>? i have some calbe lube for a dirt bike. i am guessing that will work. do i need a cable luber that i clamp on? or jsut spay the d**m thing?

Don't do it. Yours doesn't have a cable. It's electric. I think they changed those over in 1992. It's something else. If it only does it when you are moving, then that also rules out a bunch of stuff. I'd check your brakes, and if that's not it, I'd check them again. Maybe a wheel bearing, also.

No. It might actually go away when you put on the brakes, and if they are evenly worn on both sides(which is common), then they won't pull to one side. Also, check your rotors, too.
