downey off road swears by them--from reading there web site--for off roading iv been thinking about the holley vs the 38 weber deal it does appear the holley is more$$$ than the 38 weber

The Holley carb is basically a clone of the Weber, seeing that Holley bought the rights to produce the design. I've heard of them used a bit in the Celica world, but not so much in the truck world.
If you're in doubt, go with a Weber. Relativley cheap and rock solid.

holley vs weber
i guess the best way is to go and read up on each carb and then ask what others are using and make your pick i have time before i make my pick so ill just keep learning about em
