mocked up my steering box. how does this angle look? not really sure how its suppose to be

Angle looks pretty good but I wonder if the box needs to go a little further forward. The distance between the two rods looks a little close than necessary. I would be worried about them binding

Looks good to me. The arms are fine...the tie rod moves back as the axle moves up. My drag link over hangs the lower and they clear each other fine.

at full left turn the right side tie rod almost hits the leaf. but its fine on the other side. any suggests

Those tie rod ends look weird to me? Doesn't look like the drag link is hooked up? Also is your tie rod in the outter hole? hard to see...

everything is hooked up not bolted down very tight, what do you mean by outter hole?

Box could go a tad more forward but should be fine.

ya i know it looks bad. gonna take it all apart next weekend and clean it up real nice like. in a little bit of a time crunch to worry about looks im going for function first

hey so im doing this too and have a couple questions.

how much did you remove out of the engine bay to get in the and be able to work the power steering box without interference.

also what year is your truck? since I noticed you mounted your front hanger one inch forward

and How did you get the round u bolt on the drivers side inside with the truss there. I could only fit square ones on the inside perches and round ones on the outside perches.?

looks like one rod isn't connected.. can't tell which is bolted on the arm.

Almost looks like he is using a type of y-steer setup where the tie rod end on the drag link is stuck through the tie rod.

good catch i see it now. It's bolted thru the drag link.

word to the wise. dont buy highsteer like this. had to go buy trail gears kit today

What kind of "high steer" kit was it? Or was it one your bought off someone who had booty fabbed it?

it was an unknown brand..i took it to a buddys house and he said it had gm 1ton tierods.
bootyfabbed it was. it was a good deal so i took the risk.

not sure the truck shook if i hit a bump around 20-30. put the new highsteer in and its all good now
