High speed braking vibration

Have a 94 4x4 ext. cab. I remember reading a thread earlier this year about someone who had a similar problem regarding some vibration when braking at speeds above 50mph. Can't find the thread anymore. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks.

you might try turning you rotors, sometimes they warp and will chatter when you are braking.

Ditto for the rotors... I had that problem a while back. Got them re-turned and it went away!

must likely the rotors, like they said. Mine went away after changing the rotors as well.

quick Hi jack -- When I brake now i pulls to the right, only when braking, is this a rebuild the caliper type thing or air in the break line and bleed the brakes?

sorry about the highjack, turn your rotors or replace them.

Could be 2 things 1. Rotors 2. Tire balance issue.

kmcc78240,
Most likely a caliper, check the brake lines and make sure one is not pinched though.

Might wanna check your wheel bearings while you're at it!

Thanks.

Guess I should have mention that rotors had been turned. Dealer performed work as well as wheel bearing repack.

you might also want to check the lugs, over torqued lugs can cause the rotors to warp and lead to braking vibration.
