Put in new engine (3.0, discussion elsewhere). 1500 miles later, engine running great. Issue now is following. My aftermarket oil pressure gauge is pegged at 100 all the time. Wires/leads/grounds seem fine. Sending unit is in the most forward hole in the block (https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...ensors-153167/). In past pressures were OK, tho perhaps a bit high -- was suggested this was because the sender was right near the oil pump. So may be able to fix by moving to "next hole back," but would appreciate thoughts.

try another gauge to test. or maybe theres a blockage? maybe teh pressure relief valve in the op is stuck ? does it read high when you turn the key but before you start? does it drop after the truck sits for a while?

That's very impressive, considering the threeveezy has the lowest average oil pressure I've ever observed on an engine....

Oy, I am a dope...I forgot to look at whether this came on just with key in "on" position, or with ignition turned. It spikes to 100 with the former. So it must be [purely] an electrical issue. I would think a short to ground before the sensor would make reading "0," but... Maybe the prob is they over teflon'd it when new engine put in, and not a proper ground into the block. Obviously need to pull, as well as getting the multimeter out.

Putting a mechanical gauge in just to verify things is highly recommended.
Such high oil pressure will cause bearings to spin and cut off their own oil supply leading to galling and seized bearings as well as damage to the crankshaft, connecting rods and <insert lubricated component here>.
