Hi beam not working?

well i was out driving tonight.. and i went to turn on my high beams, by pushing the turn signal lever foward, nothing happens. the blue "headlight" light doesnt come on, and beams dont come on, i pull the lever back like to flash them, they come on, but the blue indicator light does not come on. i was thinking maybe i hit something wen i was under the dash putting in my cd player? but what could i have hit, cant be a fuse cuz they do work when i pull the lever back.

any suggestions?

its probaly your combonation switch
wich is the levers on your colomn if you have an owners manual look in the section for the fuses but my asumtion is that its the combo switch you will have to remove your colomn to replace it its acualy verry easy

when i turn my hi beams on the blue light on the dash comes on but the lights turn off, would this have to do with the combo switch?

Mine does the same thing. I do believe it's the combination switch though, just take it out and clean out the contacts.

yep it ended up being a fuse, that controls my dome, hi beams and small clock in the truck.
