HELP!! Truck wont start :(
SO when I bought this truck i didnt realize the previous owner had crossed the battery cables, so when I installed a new battery i didnt notice he had the RED as Negative and BLACK as possitive
The truck ran great prior to me crossing these wires lol.
There was an 80 amp fuse in the eng. bay blown that I replaced and also a 7.5 amp fuse was blown in the fuse box located at drivers side kick panel area. I have no fuse box cover so i cant tell what it was that was blown there.
I have spark and tried starter fluid and it acts like it wants to start but isnt gettin any gas, I cannot hear the fuel pump running with the key in th ON possition and am sure thats why it isnt starting but my question is: could I have blown any other fuses or relays that would kill power to the fuel pump?? I really dont wanna drop the tank and replace the pump if i dont have to so im asking for your help!!
vehicle is an 88 4runner with 3.0 EFI

thanks for the help, it turned out to be the ECU, i got one from a wrecking yard for 50 bucks, installed and it started right up
the info regarding the fuel pump was great I had no idea you could access it from there, and that should help in the future.
