HELP temperature sensor bad?
Hello I need some opinions..
My temperature gauge (stock one to the left) needle is not working right now. I dont think its the gauge itself. I think its the sensor. I have a 22RE engine 1994 Toyota 2WD truck. I think the sensor is green in color (top) up at the front of engine. Does it need any pipe tread tape to seal it? Does it need a special socket to take it out? How much does a sensor cost?
Thanks
Pete

Last time i replaced a temp sensor it was under 15.00. If i remember right the temperature sending unit is located on the intake manifold in the middle next to the valve cover. The one your refering to at the front of the engine is the temperature sensor used by the computer.
