Help! Stripped Rear Shock Mount Hole

Hi Guys, so I was changing the rear shocks to my 1991 Toyota Pickup and I over tightened the screw to the top mount that holds the shock in place. The head broke off the screw and I decided to drill the screw out, but I ended up stripping the treads inside the screw hole. I'm stuck now the shock mount seems like its welded on to the frame, has anyone else faced this challenge? I feel like im SOL. Any help appreciated. I've attached some pictures.

Red face

Go to your local dealer and buy a new shock mount.

remove the old one and weld the new one on.

Much easier then welding up the old one then redrilllng and tap it for the correct size.

Thanks for the advice man, I really hope I can find someone to come to my house and weld it in, can I drive the truck without the shock since it has a bump stop?

technically you can drive anything without shocks... just be prepared for a bumpy ride!
