Hi, need some help here! My late 92/early 93 22RE is my plow truck...the hard lines coming out of the tank are DONE. So is the electrical connection to the pump. Truck isn't great, but I think it has 1 or 2 more seasons if I take care of this.

Dropped the tank...there is NO way the assembly is coming out of there without a torch (kind of off limits given the explosive fumes!). So I need to source a new tank, hanger and pump. PERHAPS I could break off the screws with a cold chisel and get the pump out, I don't know.

Autopartswarehouse has the tank at $146 (vin code "RN101"...my vin has "01", Toyota dealer says that is the same as 101).
Pump at $75

And a dealership in Indiana can get me the hanger for $198 before shipping.

Does anyone know of any better places (as in less expensive) to get this stuff? Maybe a plastic tank?

Without this yota to plow, I have to get a plow for my GMC, at $4,000.

The pump bracket will have to come from dealer, or Junkyard, You need to have your VIN to get the correct one, There are many. I bout my tank from advance auto. The pump assumbly will come out once you remove, break, all the bolts, i suggest getting new ones with your pump bracket, They are cheap.

Thanks, guys, kind of how I thought it would be. I called a place in Indiana (dealer) that has the assembly - $198. Pretty good sized hit, but I guess worth it considering the cost of a new plow!!

You can get the bracket off of ebay but for the cost of it and the 50 different sizes that came in these trucks, you would be better off getting it from Toyota. Pumps are not cheap but I get mine off of ebay and are and exact match for about $30 and that is including shipping.

If it was me tank mounted in the bed in line fuel pump mounted to or very near the tank. Copper / Nickle lines a few sections of EFI Rubber fuel line

Making sure to have enough pressure for the efi System.

Return line back to tank .

quick don`t have to mess around with the tank now in the truck

Cheap compared with the cost of a new fuel tank bracket

just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion, Wyoming! If I'd asked a week earlier, I'd have done that!!! Could never figure out how to do an 'anything goes' fuel tank. My (knowledgeable) buddy didn't know, either.

So, took the safe route - I got an aftermarket tank from fleabay for $142 free shipping (Toyota wanted $500!). Sucked up and paid for the $200 Toyota bracket assembly from a dealer in Illinois.

If actually went together, holy crap. I had to bend the Yota internal 'arm' a bit to clear the sheet metal pan in the tank, but whatever. Even got the old sending unit out! Putting the tank in probably tomorrow! Most of my welding is done. No snow yet, but soon. I'm on a mountain here, have wind probably like you do in WY! Home made shackles going on, too.

I'll be sure to find you when I mess up something with my fuel lines - the last big mystery to me about my Yota!! I've always wanted to be able to fix them, but hopefully won't have to....
