You need to set the camera up under the front looking at the suspension and then move the tire. I thought that was what you were doing in the end, but you gave up.
From what I've seen, I can't tell what's going on. I am thinking idler arm, or tie rod ends, etc, but can't tell for sure without an underneath view.
What does the noise sound like?

No you look fine. You should grab the wheel from the top and bottom only. This will show bad wheel bearings. The slop you are seeing are bad tie rod ends or you are just turning the steering wheel. Make sure the wheel is locked.

Exactly.
If it hasn't been done in a while, if the bearings turn out to be good once you get a look at them, it would still be of benefit to repack them. Plus, even if the bearings did wobble, grease may be all they need. I just repacked mine a couple of weeks ago. After long, long neglect, the Koyos were still pristine looking.
