HELP!!! Im stuck installing Skyjacker shocks
Its 940 at night on thursday and I thought that I would install my new skyjacker shocks on my 1990 4runner 4x4 before I turned in for the night. NOW IM STUCK. The shocks I was sent seem to have smaller bolt holes than the new shocks. The part number on the front shocks is H7052. I looked that up and those shocks don't even seem to be for my truck. Am I just an idiot and missing something? Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any posts anyone knows about with these shocks on 2nd Gen 4runners? Please help?

So, if I interpret this right, the "stud (shaft) end" of the shock is smaller, or the eyelet part is smaller?
*Can't remember if mine were double eyeletted or stud/eyelet like on my 4Runner.
If the studs smaller, don't install them, you'll end up having them wiggle in the top plates, and bending them. If you mean the eyelets, read on...
If you're looking at the eyelets, make sure you havn't mixed up front vs. rears, and top vs. bottom eyelets (sometimes they're different sizes. Look at what you're pulling out and copy that layout, even down to how the shaft/body is oriented. If that isn't it, flip 'em over and try again, as some companies run their shaft's down vs. up. Also, there should be a new set of bushings that go with your new shocks, use those, not the ones that are on the truck now. The newer urethane bushings take a smaller eyelet than the old style rubber bushings did.
*Never do anything "the night before" you gotta do something, any smal thing will stress you out and you won't sleep right, even of you do get it fixed.
Also, have you already fixed this, as you only logged in to post "I need help", if you log out how're we supposed to converse with you???

Sorry for the confusion. Its the actual the eyelit on the shock is smaller. So the bolt that holds the bottom of the front shock in place doesn't fit through it. It does have new bushings but thats whats to small. I can use get the bolt to fit if I leave out the metal sleeve that slides into the bushing but Im sure thats there for a reason. I am going to call the place where I got them today to see what the hells up. Sorry for not sticking around to long but around 1015 I had to go to the storage lot to get my Mustang so that way I would have a back-up vehicle for work today. If anyone has anything else to add for this problem, go ahead and keep posting. Thanks guys

Ok I just got off the phone with skyjacker and apparently the metal sleeve doesn't need to be installed. I can just slide the mounting bolt through the bushing wthout it. Thanks for all the replies.
