Help to identify a support bracket

My son and I just replaced a head gasket and timing chain cover on his 1986 4x4 pickup. It has the EFI system on it so we had the entire top and front off of the truck.

The truck now runs great, but when we finished, we had a support bracket left over that neither of us can remember removing. We cannot figure out what it is for. Does it look familiar to any of you? The bracket is 9" long and 4" wide.

I feel like an idiot and have spent hours trying to figure out where it goes.

Thanks, Ron

No rush. The duct tape holding the PS pump now should do just fine ...
