Help Help! Wont start!!

Quick post here, put in my new front speakers today, hooked them up, put the key to ACC and they worked great.

Went inside, 5 hours later I need to go out, no start!

Just a VERY high speed clicking from what sounds like the starter.
I have had the little "click" where it clicks when you push the key to start but this is like a bunch of clicks untill I turn the key off. my battery guage goes way down, im lost!!

Gonna add some water to the battery and hopfally get somone to boost me, please help me! I need this truck for the week.

Did you leave the key on? Maybe you crossed some wire/s somewhere and drained the battery. Invest in a battery charger, friend. It's a handy thing.

Oh...I had the EXACT same thing happen about 4 days ago. I'd never heard the "multiple clicks" before either.

I gave my battery terminals/cable connectors a thorough cleaning. Problem solved!

Good luck.

Well, We pumped the music for around 5 mins when I put in the new infinity speakers, but nothing really else.

Only wires I touched where, I took off the positive lead( tried the negitive too but it is stuck) and then did my speaker wires.

I didnt turn the key when the battery was unhooked or anything..

My battery was pretty low on water...

Now im just waiting for a friend to call me back.

I will go clean the contacts though!
did I mention is is freakin pouring outside!!!

Either you left your key on and need a boost or the starter is no good. First try boosting it, if that doesnt work and all you get is CLICK (repeating clicks=battery drained to low to crank starter), tap the starter with a hammer while another person tries to turn it over (full key movement, off and on!)

I had totally forgot about doing the negitive terminal first!! Goes to show you what I was doing last night... ugh

Well I cleaned off the terminals with baking soda and a toothbrush and she fired right up.

you guys have no idea how stupid I feel right now, I also look like a drowned rat.

I did however manage to break off the bolt that attaches my battery tie down to my rad support.. Doh! Its bungee strap time.
