HELP ! grinding sound from right front tire area
When i turn right, there is a loud grind coming from my front right tire. This also happens when i hit a bump. While drving slow it isn noticable, but when over 20 mph it is very. i thought it was my brake pads or rocks in them, but replaced and no luck.

I was thinking brake pads stuck on the slide pins but you said you changed the pads? Did you clean the pins?
Does this sound change when you hit the brakes?
Backing plate touching? Wheel hubs? bearings? Cv joint?
thats really all it could be if it is from the front end

what about the ball joints?
Does the "grinding when going over a bump" happen when you're going straight and you hit a bump or when the wheels are turned? Cuz it could be the steering stops..

so the grinding noise almost always happens when turning right or when i hit a bump while turning. however, sometimes when only hitting a bump (more rare). also, when i changed the brakes, i do not distinclty remember cleaning it, but the sound doesnt change with pressure.

are your hubs unlocked? maybe your cvs are toast and your in 4 wheel. my hubs broke and they kept em locked even when unlocked and it ruined mine. you can tell if you jack up the tire and turn em unlocked...if the cv moves you got trouble in yotatown
Id pound back the backing plate a bit like bobzombie mentioned just to make sure its not that, its happened to me after changing pads.

to me it sounds like toasted wheel bearings.. either way id get out the de-greaser and brakeclean and scrub that whole area down and look for anything with visable sings of wear.. if none found, open up the hub and start looking internaly
