help with dual timing chain

Im rebuilding a 87 22r and purchased the Lce dual timing chain kit. Everything went together without a hitch until I put my balancer on. The debris shield on the balancer is hitting the oil pump before the crank bolt is tightened fully. Obviously my oil pump sprocket is not long enough? The gear is approximate1.2" long while the factory single row setup is about 1.7".
Has anyone installed one of these kits and can offer me advice? The factory timing cover is about .300" shallower than the new cover so im thinking my oil pump gear should measure closer to 1.5"?
Also, how do all the pullies line up after the kit is installed? Some parts (altinator power steering pumps) are mounted to the block but the water pump and balancer are mounted to a timing cover thats .300" deeper?
Its just my luck that the kit showed up at my door on a Friday and I dont have Lce tech support until Monday. That givesme plenty of time to stress out about all the things that might go wrong. Lol

Just why do you feel the 2 row chain is better on such a low horsepower engine.

Most likely they will tell you more parts are needed $$$$$$

No parts left over?? That might be a Shim for the oil pump drive gear.

Maybe it was snatched out of your box and never replaced.

Your right if the pulleys are not lined up you will not be able to keep belts on.

Worse case figure out where things need to be and get a spacer made.

I can`t fault a company for making money but I just will no longer deal with LCE to me They are in the same class as Wabbit.

I hope you get this sorted

Nope, no parts left over. After deep thought Ive come to the conclusion that I must need a shorter oil pump in order to keep all my pulleys lined up right?
I'll look around and see if something like that is offered?
LCe is expensive stuff but they've always done me right (so far). Up until now Ive never heard anyone bad mouth them. Sorry for your bad luck, who do you prefer to use?
As for worthless companies, my 2014 Tacoma is the biggest waste of money Ive spent in years. Ive got 13 cup holders though so maybe not all bad. lol

Are the pre 84 oil pumps shorter than the pro 85 oil pumps?

OK, I found the info I needed, Thanks for the help. The oil pump they sent me is the wrong one. Ive got the +85 pump and need the -84 pump. The pre 84 pump is 1.3" tall and my oil pump is about 1.6"
Its all good now :-)
Now I need to measure the water pumps to be sure Ive got the right one of them. LOL
