Help! Carb re-build fail

Welp. Truck was running sluggish so I decided to rebuild the carb with a NAPA kit. The carb itself wasn't that hard (I've done bikes before) but I got ahead of myself and disassembled the choke linkage... like wayyyy too much of it than necessary. After hours on yotatech and google images I got it back together, and it runs... but immediately dies. I have to feather the gas to keep it running.

My first thought was vac leak since I was rough on the hoses, but I replaced all of them and no dice. So I tore the carb out again and double checked the linkage, but everything *seems* ok to my noob eyes.

I'm completely and totally lost as to why it would act the way it is- any ideas? Truck never did this prior to my 'rebuild' (more like un-build).

I'll post some pics of the linkage in case I messed that up, which is likely:
