HELP - 4wd after motor swap
Truck is a 91, 3vze 5 speed. Motor came from an 91 4runner auto.
I got the motor in, everything runs great. My idle is high at around 1200 rpm, but I suspect that could be due to some automatic wiring component still on the motor? Or I just need to adjust something, either way I don't care, my problem is the 4wd.
The truck has ADD, I don't know what the donor truck had. The transfer case shifts into low-range fine, but the front diff isn't engaging. I've connected the Vacuum lines properly from what I know. I've connected the plug between the front diff and the one that hangs down near the alternator.
No 4x4 light comes on in the dash. The engine harness that comes down by the tranny to go to the O2 sensor has multiple plugs on it, I assume for the Auto tranny and whatnot.
There is a plug near the top back of the tranny, and one comming right out the side both on the passenger side. The wires both go on top of the tranny, and then I dont know where. Nothing seems to connect from the new engines harness to that area? Do I have to splice, should the provisions be there?
I'm pretty sure that's the only problem left, is just getting the signal from the t-case to the rest of the ADD system.
Anyone know?
