Hello! Just bought my first Toyota

Hello all, I just bought my first Toyota, a 1992 pickup with and exo bed, lifted, locked, 33's etc. It runs pretty good, needs work to smog, but my biggest concern is the steering. Its frightening at best. it seems to follow bumps and ruts, and gets worse as speed increases. What should I look at?
Thanks!
Oh, and heres a pic of my truck, dosnt really do it justice.

Idler arm bushings/seals could be worn, bad IFS box, PS not working...lots of possible culprits for your bad steering. Lots of good info here on fixing your steering to be found with a little searching.

Welcome to Yotatech.

Rear locker, the front diff and related parts are out right now actually, PO was tearing it down to do a SAS and then joined the Army and never got around to putting it back in. I think its just a Lincoln locker though, the tires chirp no matter how slow I go around turns. Ill get a pic of the steering when I get to the truck.

If the front end is half way torn apart that could have alot to do with the steering problem depending on whats going on. I would probly just not worry about it and finish that SAS.

IFS =

SO

SAS
