Headliner removal and install?

Ive been searching but i cant find any information on how to remove/install the headliner in a 89-95reg cab p/u.

pretty soon im going to be pulling it to install some antennas on the roof, and i would like to change it (possibly camo?) as im going to be changing the color of the interior.

does anyonehave any good tips or maybe a write up?

in my 89 4runner, the headliner appears to be held taut on all four sides by contact cement. the thing that is holding it in its form is 3 long metal rods. the headliner has a loop on the back that these rods go into, then they clip onto the ceiling sides above the door. shouldn't be hard at all to make your own.

I can take a pic of a halfway pulled apart headliner tomorrow.

if you could take a pic of the rear of the headliner, the part that spans the B pillars, I'd greatly appreciate it

I'm trying to figure out if there are additional threaded holes (besides the overhead light) that I can attach an overhead console to.

jones, thankyou that would be awesome!

and corax, i know there some places you and drill and tap your own holes (self tapping screws are commonly used) without puncturing the roof skin, we did it on my old ford

I'm uploading some pix now, (just got home from work's).

this shows that there is about a fingers width of empty space between the roof and the hanging sheetmetal that the headliner attaches to in the front by the windshield and the back by the passengers.
