Headlight repair help!?
I need a little help figuring out what to do about my headlights. I drive an 87 4runner and well. .
They're about to fall out. ..
The drivers side is really bad but they both wobble and they are really dim. I've been searching and reading about upgrades over the past few months trying to figure out what I'm gonna do.
The little bracket that actually holds the headlight in is broken, so that light's held in with gorilla tape.
Are there any upgrade kits that would include that bracket or do I need to find one? anyone have a part number?
I was looking at some of the higher output upgrade kits and I can't tell the difference. I live in Oregon, not sure if there are laws about what headlights you can run. I don't want to blind anyone.
I think I can swing a budget of about $100 if that helps.
I just got a new job and it means commuting in the dark on winding roads.

OK, I got all my parts together. Everything but the trim rings. All the pic-a-part places want to sell me the entire bucket assembly for $30 or more. Does anyone know where to get just the trim rings?

I've had good experiences with YodaJim's in Denver, CO
Price of the part + shipping. Just email jim@yodajims.com with all the info. It may take a day or so to get a reply but I've found it's easier than trying to get a hold of them on the phone. If you haven't already looked, give this thread a try. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...ts-etc-221646/

email redneckbatmobile (member here on yota tech) he is parting out a 4runner and I would venture to guess he still has the trim rings for the headlights.
As far as the conversion, this is what I am running, I get an ocassional flasher with my headlights but really its only 1/10,000 cars I pass and they are bright with a decent patter!
housings-hella 6x7 glass and metal
light out put- ddm hid h4 35w 5000k hi/lo slim balast kit
If you run this set up, I would suggest aiming your lights down more than normal to avoid blinding on coming drivers. If you dont, you will get flashed all the time.
