Headers or slap a weld on my old manifold?
I'v had a small crack in my exaust manifold for years. I have always just taken it off and had someone cover the hole. It works for about a year then breaks through.
So what should I do.....
1) Patch the hole again
2) get a new manifold
3) get something performance
If I went the header route, is it really worth it? I don't have experience with them.

New manifolds run around $100. If you get the gaskets, cool if not they're like $30 from napa
Ted at engnbldrs favored exhaust setup uses the stock manifold. LOW rpm torque.... to each their own but I can't justify $400+ on a header at the moment.

You're in the same boat I am. I'll probably get a header because they should be cheaper then a dealer manifold. You can get an aftermarket/used manifold, but how long is that going to last?

I myself would go with the header just because I have never seen anyone who could get a good weld on those manifolds. Not saying they can't be welded, just that most welded maniflods end up cracking or leaking from the weld eventually.
Plus the extra ponies are always good and it sounds better.

Which one do I get? Is there only one? I remember searching the site in the past and there was a lot of stuff. Can't seem to connect to the site.
