Header clearances

So...how close is too close to the headers? There are a few things that just seem like they need protection. Is a layer of that shiny heat shielding tape going to be enough? The metal lines for the brakes on the passenger side are the closest. 1/4" and some heat tape is about as good as I am going to get unless I bend the hell out of them. Wiring harnesses can be zap strapped out of the way with heat tape as well. Clearances on them is about 1" or so. Is this going to be ok?

I say that one of the most important things (to me) is to keep the spark plug wires from touching the headers. I've learned that the hard way..............

it should be okay.
remember, your going to be driving, and lots of wind is going through.
plus
headers keep the engine bay cooler than a manifold. so you will be just fine.
I'm sure your hydraulic fluid will get roasting hot from your brakes and high braking (say in a track car), and those fluids are designed to take such punishment.

i work at a factory that builds hydraulic lifts, and the reservoirs are always as hot as the engines exhaust after a test phase. you can warm yourself by just standing next to them.
heat tape / shielding is always a good upgrade.
and wires/plastic should be protected (as stated above)
