head light not adjusting.

my driver side headlight is not adjusting. No matter what way I turn the screws, the headlights are not moving. How should I fix it?

Red face

If your sure your turning the correct screws the plastic pieces they are threaded into either stripped or broke altogether.

Perhaps you can find them aftermarket or else hit up your local Toyota Parts people.:jessica:

I believe there are 2 long screws - one at the top of the light and one on the inside, toward the middle of the grill. They both thread into a plastic housing that has snapped into the metal of the chases behind the grill. If the screws are just turning in place, my bet is the plastic housing is stripped out - should be a cheap dealer part.

hopefully it will be cheap. I like my truck, but I hate how I have to haggle for prices on parts. I wish toyota was like chevrolet where all the prices are fixed.

Take a photo and share it here if you are still unsure.....

www.toyotapartszone.com is a little cheaper, but for those parts I can't imagine they would be that expensive at a dealer.

They are headlights - a key safety item - don't skimp on the parts!

Different from my truck bjut looks like the same idea.

Why don't you call your local dealer parts dept and get the part number and price?....
