has anyone ever redone their stock alloys?

wondering if anyone had any tips or advice or if there were any write ups.
i have a pretty decent set of the 8 spoke alloys that im trying to make look like new again.

one for sure question i had, are the inset parts of the wheels painted grey or is that just different texture/finish alluminum?

I'm in the planning stages of one of these projects, myself. I plan on hitting the rims with either a media blasting or with a flap wheel on my grinder, then using Duplicolor rim paint to paint them a dark grey metallic.

A friend of mine just powder coated the stockers on his Exploder black. Looks great.

Ken's article is the only one I have come across that goes into detail on how to strip 'em down.

I still have the stock wheels off my 95... I took them off when they only had 4000 miles on them. Even the tires are still in great condition. They're stacked up in my garage. Too bad you guys are so far away.
