Hard Brakes
I have the 1994 3vze V6.
The brakes are hard and when I press on the gas pedal the car will not move forward or backwards.
When the car does move it only last a few minutes before it locks up and does not want to move. I have to turn the engine off and open up the master cylinder cap start the engine then the car moves along.
What are the possible causes for this behavior? What do I need to replace?
Thanks for any help.

I'm really taking a total stab at this one but one time when I use to drive a Ford Exploder the "brake pressure regulator" went south and caused it to shoot brake fluid all over the undercarriage of my truck. (I didn't cause hard braking but it sounds like you having problems with "regulating pressure".) ((that is if these trucks even have pressure regulators)) Again this is a total stab. Good luck with your inquiry! Deathcougar knows what he's talking about

I will need to get a new master cylinder from the dealer. What is involved in changing with a new MC? What are the steps to change out the MC with a new one?
Thanks for the info ...
