Half doors, pictures.

OK. I really really want tube doors but I HATE the latches that I've seen. So I'm going to the U-pull-it tomorrow to try and find some 4runner doors and make my own this weekend. I like the way these look since they have the upper window frame still in there to help with rigid strength and I can keep the mirrors.

This isn't a half door but the "head rests" look real comfy.

Some crappy pictures of mine. Don't incorporate the window frame, but they are plenty rigid!! The supported the truck while it was sliding across a tree

Puttin 'em to good use

Good luck and have fun makin 'em!!

89,
Nice pics and nice doors, not to mention the Jeep Eater truck you've built. How long did those take to make? If I can get the doors tomorrow I can use a plasma cutter and wire welder for the weekend.

I can't take 100 percent credit for these actually only about 70 percent credit haha They actually aren't welded, they are cut and have a 2x4 screwed into place and the top covered with black vinyl. Sounds ghetto, but they are VERY strong and look great as you would never know it was wood I bought them cut, but I redid screwing in the wood and painting them too match and puttin the vinyl cover on them. Oh and installing a 6.5" speaker on the inside. All together, I wanna say I put in a good 5 hours or more work, but I was a little OCD with 'em haha give me a second and Ill take some better pictures of them

Here ya go...

They definitely aren't the prettiest or anything, but I love 'em and they get the job done!

Leaving them open on the inside gives you a door full of storage

Had to cut out the thin guage sheet aluminum to make a mounting plate thing for the speakers

And I love the Jeep eater comment hahaha It'll be even more of a Jeep eater when I get my 4.88's and e-locker installed and next week I'm gettin my 33x10.50's and at the end of summer before the Rubicon run....dAH dah dah DAAAAH....Dual cases baby. Bring it heeps!! haha

That is a concern. The police here have some "issues" and if you happen to be white (me) they have racial issues. Great pics!!!! Thanks again.

Now quit dicking around on the forums and get that second t-case and your gears installed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha no problem

And I'd love to be out there puttin my gears in, but......I gotta wait for the gf's pops to get some free time as he's a master welder and has a drill press, tap, and welder that I need for the retro fit, and of course his welding skills and I'm workin on the second t case!!! Just gotta find the right deal on a top shift case! Then it's go time baby!

Oh and go to kragen and get the side view mirrors they were 15 bucks each....cheaper than a fix it ticket

And ya know what now that you mention it...I think I may go strip my IFS diff sittin in my garage and tear into that gettin it ready for the ADD to non ADD conversion before it goes in my truck cause I'm bored of staring at a computer hahah
